International Airport serves
as the principal hub for international
air travel. In 2004, the first private
airline of Kuwait, Jazeera Airways,
was launched.
In 2005, the second private airline,
Wataniya Airways of Kuwait
was founded.Kuwait Airport (KWI)
is located 16km from south of
Kuwait City. There are
seven airports in the country, of which
four have enclosed runways.
Kuwait Airways is the
biggest airline in the country. In 2001,
the airline accepted 2,084,600 passengers
on domestic and international flights. |
